Maybe the One Who Needs to Slow Down Is Me
Author: Farmer Kelley
I feel like I’ve been deceiving you. Since January, I have written every week about slowing down and taking more time for yourself and all along I’m running crazy. I truly was trying to manifest that idea, that dream state of total Zen.
But my reality is a little more like a duck. On the surface, it looks like smooth sailing, but hidden below is the frenetic energy I expend keeping all these plates spinning.
But the other night at dinner with my son and his family I got a glimpse of their calendar on the fridge.
It was a lightning bolt moment. So much of my own stress is self-induced.
The time I spend overthinking and over planning and occasionally overcommitting is 1000% on me.
While I may be no good at manifesting, I’m going to spend the rest of the year learning how to knock it down a notch or two.
I usually make my New Year’s resolution in August, but I think today’s as good day as any.
How about you?
